Thermostat problem?

Default Thermostat problem?

CEL 10- IAT - intake air temperature sensor

After driving for about 10 mins the car start stalling, heater is always cold, and i cant tell if its over heating because the temp gauge isnt working but smoke is coming up from around the water pipe and i can hear sizzling noises..

The symptoms are:

-Radiator fan dont turn on
-Coolant reservoir always full, coolant doesnt get suck in
-Top hose is hot, bottom is cold
-Heater always cold
-Car starts to stall after 10 mins of driving
-Smoke coming up from under the IM..water pipe?

symptoms sound like a stuck thermostat but is not same as IAT. so i guess you need to replace both

and if your overheating that bad to hear the water sizzle u most likely warped your head as well and need to replace the headgasket.

I just replaced the thermostat..but still same problems...radiator fan still isnt switchin on.

i got same problem with fan not coming on. ima goto a junk yeard and jack a relay, see what happens. you can also run a loop on the thermostat housing sensor and it will run continuosly

Well i jumped the fan switch and the fan runs now, the heat warm up but the car still bogs at low rpm...

you might have warped the head or blown gasket. does it still smoke?

nope it doesnt smoke anymore..but the car bogs at low rpm
