Is there a way to wire the horn to a push button switch?
Anyone done this before? I'm not sure what kind of push button switch would be needed though. Reason for this is because my friend swapped his steering wheel and wasn't able to keep his horn buttons. So I thought about this push button switch idea...maybe it will work... Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

ha ha, just kiddin man. now, for the real answer- its really easy. just purchase any push-button switch you like, like at radio shack, wire +12v to one side of the switch, and wire the other side to the wire that gets 12v when the factory horn button is depressed. this will make the horn sound. and dont get mad about the drawing, i couldnt resist. just IM me if you have any more questions. im a mecp certified installer, and a wiring madman.

i guess you can just run a wire straight from the horn to the battery through a relay w/ a ground. then wire the switch up from there, completely bypass the stock wiring you know? like an aftermarket set of fog lights.

also, i have a sparco wheel that has a nice center horn button, try to locate a sparco or momo center button like that, theyre about 2" wide and you can put a nice centercap on it, it simply has a male contact on it so you just need to crimp a female connector onto a wire and i think youre set. call rick at mid-atlantic trading, hes a sparco distributor im sure he can help you out, and hes a real good guy. 609-758-9800
