Default is there a such thing as a water and oil pump gasket..?

i dont' remember when i uninstall it. but my brother thinks there is a gasket in the oil pump and water pump. i told him that i didn't think so cause there is a pieces of rubber around it already. i don't think there is a gasket... please let me know... i know one of us is wrong...

the waterpump has a shapes o-ring theres no gasket.

they just use hondabond to seal the oil pump
