Default Is there a how to thread for changing CV boot ?

Guys,
There were some folks that pointed me some good how to articles that explained like pealing a banana. Similarily, I was wondering if there is an article that explains changing either CV boot and or replacing axle

Thanks very much.

depend which side it needed to be replace. if it is an inner (toward the transny) than it easy, if it is an outter (toward the wheel) then you have to remove the inner boot to get to the outter boot. either way you going to have a big mess on your hand. too needed is a boot clamp pliers. there are 2 kind of boot clamp plier. just replace the axle.

why do people think this is so hard? i did all of my bro's cv boots before he crashed his civic. Whatever you do don't get the split boot kit, its a waste of time and money. in order to replace either cv boot it is easiest to just take out the cv shaft. this may sound like a big deal but it really is'nt as long as you have the know how and tools to do it. i can't really tell you how to do it step by step because i don't know the names for all the parts but i can tell you that it doesn't take very long.

Thanks all for the replies,
The boot i have to replace is the outer boot on the front right side of my civic 97

well the replies had some mixed opinions, hard and easy ?
I am just wondering if i should attempt doing it myself or not. well the main reason is, I like doing things myself for 2 reasons, it interests me and also save money too.

Thanks ya all for all the help, this site is great and has wealth of experience
