Is there a good resale value for a modded Civic?

Is there a good resale value for a modded Civic?
I was just wondering this because I'll be selling my civic this comming Spring. I have a 92 LX with a turbo'd d16Z6. Is any dealer going to give me fair trade in on this? A friend told me they are hesitant to take a modded car because it's hard for them to give a warranty on it. I've spent a lot of money on this car and I hope it doesn't all go down the drain.

DEALER!
I would say that your best bet would to put it in the classifieds on here or try to sell it to someone in your area thats interested in a honda with similar mods. you wont make back all you money but I doubt you will take a large hit like you would dealing with a dealer.

Tough nuggets. Resale on modified vehicles is **** when compared to what they cost to build. Your best hope is to find another enthusiast who knows the rough total cost of everything you've done. You won't be able to recoup nearly enough, but it'll be more than a dealer trade in.

yeah, i figured I'd be taking it in the *** when I have to sell it. So what would you guys give for a 92 4 door with a D16 engine with around 70,000 on it? The body is straight with some minor quarter panel rust. Around 2,500?

the dealer will offer you below kelly blue book value for your car regardless of what mods you have. They might give you a better amt for your car but the trade off is you pay more for the car your trading for. So its basically the same in the end.

ya your best bet would defienetly be to sell me your turbo kit, then try and sell the car. People don't want to have to worry about what a car has been through. A stock car is definetly easier to sell than a modded one. A turbo kit is something realy easy to fu*k up to, so it may make people hesitant on buying.

That last sentence is SOOOOOOOOO true. Unless I was friends with a guy or knew the shop where the work was done (and they were reputable) I wouldnt touch a turboed car. **** I wouldnt want to touch a N/A swapped car

Re: (Dimi)
you just gotta sell if here, on ebay, to anther tunner/kid/teen. Yes you will loose a lot of money. Hence why its cheap to buy a eg hatch with a bseries than it is to buy a hatch and a b series.
