im doing a civic type r interior for my ek..and im wondering is there a black dash for the ek...or do i have to paint it to get the dash to look like the jdm ek-9 type r?

US 96-00 Civics only came with dark gray, light gray and taupe interiors.

LHD and RHD black dashes can be found in Europe.

my freind juss painted his interior blk...it came out really well! he was lookin along tym for the real blk ek9 panels but he never came across them. but the ones he painted still look nice

go to autozone and get a few cans of satin black "plastic vinyl" paint. Looks stock and is pretty durable. DO NOT get krylon fusion paint, it turns to goo after sitting in the sun. I did my interior a week ago, did the dash with fusion and the door panels with plastic vinyl paint, the fusion is sticky, if i touch it it leaves a finger print lol. But the door panels look awesome, very clean. Hope it helps

It's black and red.

I can't recall the TYPE code right off hand, but since it's black and red it's a different code than the TYPE D black interiors. It's TYPE D for the overseas models that aren't the Type R IIRC.
