Default Is there anyway to check the Lost Motion Assembly?

I think I am having an issue with the Lost Motion Assembly. They aren't sticking when they are out, but when the engine cranks a ticking noise is coming from the head. The rocker arm assembly has been completely replaced and the valves have been checked. The only thing I can think of to be the problem is the Lost Motion Assembly.

Is there anyway to check the Lost Motion Assembly?

You MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.

no real test to check if they are the source of the noise, unless we could get some sort of medical camera to look inside the engine while its running

when u install them, hold the lma upside down and fill a thick viscoscity oil into the singular hole on the underside until it fills up while blocking the openings at the other end with your fingers. Then, quickly install them in its (lubricated)cavity. if u install them without filling them with oil there is an audible difference.

running performance cams will generally result in a louder ticking noise.

of course the ITR spring type lma's is the answer, but they're pricey

ps: didnt listen to your vid as im at work, and re-read your original post. if youre gettin a ticking noise while cranking the starter, id look elsewhere.
