Default theoretical question....(tps set higher)

sup.

just wondering.
lets say your tps is set higher then what it suppose to....

what will it cause and how.

car will probably run very rich at idle because it thinks it is above idle. it might rev higher at idle and it will probably have poor throttle responce

to add to what darkclark said

depending on how much off it is...
the RPMs will surge at idle. run rich at all times, and may set a CEL.

reason: the ECU sees certain readings from other sensors (mainly the MAP) and a certain TPS reading, and they don't make sense together.
