I think he is talking about the tow company charging him so much to release the vehicle.

Be careful though, sometimes lawyer fees and whatnot will far exceed what they "raped" from you at the tow yard.

Happy you got your car back though man, good luck!

I hate to tell you this but the tow company is in business to make money. Its the same reason you work right........ to make money. They provided a service for you they went and picked up your stripped car and tow it back to a holding lot and wait for you to come get it. Every holding lot that I have gone to has a per day storage fee + cost of the tow. I can see your point that if they closed for the holidays you shouldn't have to pay for those days but good luck ever getting that to happen. You can take them to small claims court and ask for court cost but if you loose your out the money for court fees. Or you could sue the person that stole your car. IT SUCKS but that is the way it is sorry

If you have car insurance it will usually pay any fees incured when the vehicle is recovered. The Police will find you car and ask if you want them to tow it. Then it goes to a city lot or yard. If the car is totaled your insurance company usually takes the car and it goes to their Private yard. That's how they roll in the Midwest USA.
