Thank you
I just wanted to say "Thank you" to Honda-tech.com and all of its staff and members for their participation.
Through Honda-tech.com I found a Haynes manual, which contained much more useful information than the Chilton's manual I had purchased already. For example: how to remove the bottom sill molding. (Fenders have to go!)
I have a 98 Civic DX, MT, that I bought new from a dealer, then gave to my daughter after she had wrecked her Jeep in a highway crash. Long story short: the Civic came back to me with 105,000 miles, thoroughly beaten. I'm rebuilding in my spare time.
I'll be back to post other questions and to give help where I can. Thank you once again.
