Testing Radiator Fan

Is there a way to test the radiator fan to see if it needs to be replaced or not? I am not sure if its the relay, the fan, or the thermoswitch. I know its not the fuse because I checked it and it was fine.

in the termostate there is a sensor take it out the cables and try to join it, if the fan start moving is good if not you have to remplace it

sort of...

that's part of the diagnosis, but it's not a definitive fan check. jumping the sensor connector would show a failed sensor if the fan does come on when jumped but is off when plugged in and engine hot.

BlackShingo: it's as simple as supplying 12V to the fan motor connector. use a test light or multimeter to find which wire is ground and which is supply for the fan (if you don't have a wire schematic handy) and give it 12V on the supply side. if it works you know you've got to look for wire breaks or relay trouble. if it doesn't you know it's the fan.
