tensioner sizes
i'm researching a Vitara build, and to get the compression as close to 9.0:1 as possible, i'm trying to figure out how to shave more than .040 off.. that's when i run into timing belt issues.. from what the service manual says, i can only take off .040 before the timing belt becomes too slack.. so i'm trying to figure out if i can use a VX belt, or if i can use a bigger tensioner..
so, can anyone help me out with some tensioner sizes? whatever you can get, and let me know what motor they are from?
BTW, I SEARCHED!!!!!!
i'm compliling all the info i have and will post as much as i can when i get this done with everything, so the only thing you should have to do is get the block decked/milled to get the compression as close to 8.9 or 9.0:1 as possible with the setup i'm working on, and it will still be affordable, pull the pistons closer to the top of the cylinder where we would like them, and i'll clay it and all too just to see what valve clearances are also (though i don't see why we would have a problem with those)..
so to anyone helping me out with this, a thanks and a to you!
