temperature gauge help

Default temperature gauge help

ok i have a 1993 civic si and for some reason my temperature gauge stoped working so i checked the fuses. they were good i change the sensor 2 times still dont work even changed the plug. so i had my brother try it on his eg and it worked fine i tryed his and it didnt work i checked all the wires they all seem fine im all out of things to look for help me out..?

and would my thermostat make it not work?

take a meter to them an check the voltage

ok ill try that in the am what if its bad?. everything else is working 100% correct i dont understand why the temperture gauge wont work ?

check for any loose or broken wires and also check the ground

What sensor did you replace? It's the 1-wire ECT sending unit under the distributor that controls the temp gauge. If you unplug the sending unit and ground the wire in the connector on the engine, does the temp needle rise when the key is in ON(II)?
