Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Decided to replace my clutch master cylinder with a cleaner S2000 version. It was in the list of mods when I first started my build, but never got around to buying one. I bought this one at the beginning of winter, and now its finally nice enough that I can work in my garage.
Here's the old one, just draining the fluid
S2000 MC on the left with spacer, and stock civic one on the right. Notice the reservoir is on the MC instead of mounted on top of the shock tower.
I have my brake master cylinder, hood latch and clutch master cylinder a bronze color, to give it a little more contrast in the engine bay. So I needed to paint match the new one
Paint dried and reassembled. I decided I should get a new gasktet for the firewall, so I'll be installing it on when that comes
for more pics, and my build thread, check out https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/function-form-build-my-first-complete-resto-3063255/

Its crazy cause I have two sets under the dash, two different fixed strips on each side and all four probably would not equal 1 of the flexible strips. There so bright you can see them reflecting off my head liner and there underneath my seat right under where the pocket meets the bottom of the back.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
installed JBL GTO608C component speakers today.
tweeters were kind of a pita but all I had to do is dremel out the oem tweeter out of its housing and epoxy that housing into the 1997 ex mount and wire it up. sounds amazing, especially for not running an amp or even an aftermarket HU...yet
also got the JBL GTO938 6x9 for the rear and they too are quite nice as well. All from amazon at a great price.
Have the x overs on the -6db switch right now and from searching the forums that is what others have said to run since the tweeters can get to be a bit too much and I could not be happier with the overall quality for the price.
Stoked.

Did you check RMS ratings on the speaker, as well as your head unit? Under powering can destroy speakers just as fast as over powering can.

Wired up the interior harness (switch, power, relay) for OEM foglights. I didn't have time to pull the bumper for the light install.
Also, bought some 15" OZ Ultraleggeras for my EM1 - they need tires, but can't complain about used wheels that were only installed for 2 days.
Slowly getting some stuff done.

Changed the clutch, put in a light flywheel, and rear main seal on my Bro's $100 Del Sol. (I'm sure he'll have the update posted ASAP.)
We pulled the motor and trans out from the bottom without using a hoist (even though we have a fully stocked shop, we just wanted to try something different... HOLY COW it was so much easier. And didn't scratch anything!
I'm definitely a believer in doing it that way from now on. It's so obvious that's the way they designed it to swap.

I think there regular led lights they don't get hot though. I installed the brigher ones under my dash so now they light up better and they match the back. Also to say something on a honda is ricer is kinda dumb...there created in japan. Another word for them is rice burners lol I think that the only people who should say that are people who drive domestics. Anyway, I got them from orielly, you can't even see the lights just the beams showing on the floorboards. To me I think there pretty nice and so has everyone who has seen them and nobody said a word about being "ricer" just that's cool as **** lol.

"hot spots" doesn't mean it gets hot, it means there's an uneven beam pattern. Also, a car can be an import without being rice - it's all in how you modify it. You can even rice out domestics.

^ Saw the biggest POS mustang yesterday, falling apart bodykit and some japanese characters on the back...
I went to the junkyard to finish getting matching interior pieces... and I found a double din console that looked like it had been run over repeatedly by something at least as big as a smart car
Will now look in every car to check for nice double din..

Oil change today. Also properly plugged my old oil return line. Found yellow Teflon tape at Lowes (the oil/fuel line kind), and used that instead of black RTV. SO much cleaner.
Also, got these buggers in the mail yesterday, had them installed in <20 minutes. Who said a full leather EJ6 couldn't be done? :D

Ohh ya they light the entire floorboards up it makes it look like I have red carpet at night. I had a different set and it was like you were talking about the middle was brighter than the rest but these its the entire floor from past the pedals all the way to under my seat.
