Yeah, I have to figure out if this one has an ICM and if so does it “speak the same” multiplex language as the Accord ECU (ISO 9141-2 information protocol).

And thanks. It won’t be very visible, that part of the cable will be down between the intake runners anyway.

Thanks, that’s what it looked like to me on mouser. I think I’ll need only 1 set of the 22 pin and a few sets of the 6’s.

Pros and cons of braided sleeving? I was looking at wirecare dot com, and they seem to offer a good variety of stuff.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Cost. Shrink is really better in every way, but it costs more money. I didn’t calculate a cost for braided sleeving, but safe bet it was about 3x the cost to do DR-25. There are less expensive equivalents to the Raychem stuff, but I decided to stay with what I know already. Didn’t feel like dropping coin on something, starting to use it, then finding out I don’t like it for whatever reason. There are more expensive options too!
Shrink provides good environmental protection, great abrasion resistance, and has good flexibility and memory when getting everything installed. It’s a pleasure to work with, easy to feed wire through. Finished product looks great. Raychem provides a data sheet, so I knew how thick the shrink would be after I recovered it. So I was able to calculate out the exact diameters of my loom sections and order the right size stuff for booting and labeling. No guesswork means less stuff to buy so that saved me money in the long run.
Braided sleeve is also easy to work with. It in a different way. You really need a hot knife to cut it or it gets messy quickly. It can be really easy to kind of inchworm it over a section of wire, but it can be a pain sometimes too. It takes a little bit of practice to work with for sure. You can see your wires through it. It’s also wayyyy cheaper. Cheap enough that you buy extra and if you don’t like how it came out, tear it off and start over. It’s also plenty for interior use.

What’re some decent, cheaper alternatives to Raychem?
And are there any kinds of braided wrap to stay away from? I don’t like the split stuff.

Found a deal on nice 🇯🇵 Made Woodgrain wheel and tossed it in the ek since I’ve always loved those slightly thicker styled steering wheels

Haven’t made much progress on the Civic lately, other than getting more electrical pieces shipped in. My wife’s G35 is down for a little while (sending off instrument cluster for repairs), the Odyssey is down with a pretty bad power steering leak, and to top off everything, I ran over Eppie (our 7 year old Pomepuggle) last night coming back home from town... She just darted in front of my truck... The vet is going to have to put her down. Stuff happens — I know; but I still hate myself for it.

Got some work done on the project while I was in town yesterday. Finally feel like I’m making a little progress.
Injector, iat, pcs (not shown) harnesses test fit.

New:
Then spent the rest of the morning building out the coil harness. Here’s most of the process in pics:
Looks better on a vtec head, because everything generally does:

Isn’t the green connector on the engine to chassis harness on the 99-00 ek called a c136? I’m having trouble finding a pinout for it, and my connector has an extra wire or 2 than the one I did find.
Edit: Never mind. I just found my papers.

No kidding! It’s 99-00. Automatic and manual have some differences, but they’re both different from the 96-98.

The 4 that came with the plate seem to have the wrong thread pitch.
I had originally planned to install this engine as soon as my stock one started getting worse, but it just drinks a bit of oil each month and stays at about 33mpg.
