I get 3k regularly for ek's with my full maintenance book thrown at them. The only issue Is consistently finding clean projects to rebuild. Theyre all trash and treated like trash. Its getting redundant to have to pull the trans for a rear main seal on every damn car I buy

I went 25ft lbs + 55 degrees on ARP 2000 3/8" rod bolts per spec which developed 60ft lbs(!?) of total torque according to my needle style wrench which may or may not be sprung from being used as a breaker bar. I backed off to 55. It's what I did to my EG Civic today, don't skid. And yes, I will tear oil pan back off for 2cnd opinion from diff torque wrench, LMB

Just charged the a/c in the Infiniti, blows ice cold now. Damn thing has been sucking down that 91 about 3x as fast as the sedan though. Need to figure out what I'm going to do for a replacement alarm.

Had bought another headlight harness (harness that runs around the front of the civic) and cleaned/re-loomed it last night. Wrapped the left and right side of the harness with thermal tesa tape and installed it. Finished up around 3am. I'm about to take a cruise around the same temps as the day it failed to see if it goes again. If it goes again the fan motor is at fault and I'm gonna be pissed.

Found one of the hangers on my WS2 almost totally broken off when I pulled the exhaust for the subframe job, so I went to a friends house last night to weld it back up. Decided to clean it up and do a re-polish while it's off the car:

Edit: From the looks of other pics, it probably needs a condenser fan for proper support.

Installed jdm H22 cams and timing belt. Slightly advanced from doubling mls hgs (+.026") but will worry about adjustables when I get real cams and springs.

The radiator is hanging down too. The radiator support has been smashed. So I'm not sure where you can sell a civic with a smashed front end and salvage title for that much

O_o I did not realize that was the radiator. Even if this thing is in too bad condition to repair and sell, there are some parts on it that I can use on my Civic and then just bring that one to scrap and pretty much get my monies back.

If it needs a radiator support and doesn’t have a salvage title, I have a couple places here I can get them for pretty cheap.

Recently assembled G23 exhibited zero signs of compression. After triple checking actual cam lobe positions I realized that I had lapped the valves extensively enough to incur constant contact with the followers, less than zero lash. Backed off lash adjustment, found all kinds of compression.

black, gold, bronze, orange, body color (green) or chrome. I think any of those could look pretty good. Oh and by orange, I mean burnt/blood orange.
