Hey thanks deschlong!!
Curious to know, was the 4th gen (88-91) cruise control slip ring the same as the elusive 92 3D Si and the 92-94 4D Ex slip ring? I noted that the Ex-V is an SRS clock spring.
I also wasn't sure if I could cheat with a 92-95 SRS clock spring as I wasn't sure if the connector to the 3 pin grey plug on the non SRS steering wheel was the same.

Note that the 5th Gen slip ring you're after actually only existed on CDM 1992 vehicles: the 3dr Si (the black steering wheel), and on the 4dr EX (the burgundy and grey steering wheels).
That's a good point that the steering wheel cruise switches from a non-SRS wheel need a different connector than the SRS steering wheels. But if you get a complete cruise SRS steering wheel with switches + the clock spring down past where it goes from flat computer cable to standard wiring + you have the SRS delete then you're in business to complete a cruise retrofit. Functionally identical to OEM non-SRS, but behind the scenes a bit different. I managed to find all the right parts to complete my retrofit when I did it like it was straight out of a CDM '92 Si, but this is by no means a necessity.

They're different, and the 88-91 one (actually just 90-91) won't play nice with the combination switch mounts on your 92-95.

Low and behold, I lucked right out, One of the latest civics my pick a part got was a 92 4D EX with grey interior. I just got the slip ring, spacer and took the plug and wire all the way to the cruise control brain plug. Also grabbed the cruise button and took as much of the wiring up to the cluster.
I get my non srs steering wheel and can eventually work in the cruise control on this 92 VX. I get to contend with not having the standard cruise control dash light and figure something a bit different out. The VX used the cruise idiot light spot for the green upshift arrow I believe.
And I still need the cruise control 3 pedal assembly to swap out my VX pedal set.
This will be a fun project down the road and it will be awesome having the only 92 VX with factory parts Cruise Control.

Just a heads up thats not an em1, em1 would have a vin number "1hgem1"xxxxxxx. The em1 never was available in silver
Hey there all, finally I got : EM1. Found an older guy who took one on trade and was looking to get rid of it for cheap. Car is in really good shape, no rust that I can find, engine has a couple small mods (intake, header) and the interior is immaculate. Picked it up last Sunday, and started ordering small parts here and there. Finally got a chance to really look it over today in the sun and started ripping out excess wiring from a previous stereo install, as well as some PIAA foglights he mounted behind the grille which came out (along with the dash switch and wiring). As well today, my full energy suspension bushing/mount kit showed up, new muffler and full engine gasket kit. Looks like the back of the valve cover has a good sweat going on. Tomorrow Ill get the rest of the wiring out, vacuum the carpets and start on the bushing and top end gasket replacement. Then do an oil change, gas it up, check wheel pressure and finally take it out on the highway and open her up (didnt get it over 60km/h bringing her home the other day). Cant wait to really get into this over the summer. I have a friend here who has a set of ITR cams I am going to grab this weekend, as well as a new suspension setup but thats for later.

Replaced map sensor today. Old one looks pretty bad but the o ring was in pieces already when i pulled the map. Probably not a good thing. Put the new map on and its much smoother driving now. No more hesitating off idle.

Working on my wire harness and found that some idiot (me) swapped the afr sensor connectors front to back... guess I’ll just repin the ECU connectors and write a note in my notes. So stupit.
