Unfortunately I am curious as I need to do this on my wife's 93 Hatch and I would like a ball park idea of possible current costs when I go asking for quotes.

But alas, I don't want to rip that scab off that appears to just be forming.....

Got my new AF sensor installed today. Here’s what happened with the old one:

See the resistor rusted off?

body work isn't my strongest strengths, if I had to tackle it on I'm running.

I can tackle the basic "grind, fill, sand and repeat" type body work. It's not pretty, but I can make it work. As far as cutting and welding on such thin sheet metal, I feel that type of **** is better left to professionals. The way I see it, I do ALL my own work on everything... from automotive maintenance, to appliance repair, to basically everything else around the house...so I've saved (presumably) thousands of dollars NOT paying people to do things. Paying for this work wasn't too terribly painful. I ended up paying $973 to have both rear quarters redone, plus the price of the panels (~$100). The car still has a few blemishes and dents that I need to remedy before she'll be ready for her dip job. By the way, my DYC kit shows up today.

All in all, to fix the entire body (this includes all my body tools/materials previously purchased, the new panels, body work and DYC kit), I will have ultimately spent around $2K. It might not be worth it to others, but it's worth it to me. I get lots of, "Is paying all that money for a Honda worth it?" and "I wouldn't have spent that much on that cheap of a car." Ya know, the typical "if that was my car" ****.

There are 3m products that give a good bonding w/o welding but I've never tried them. Seen youtube videos

I mean, no rust repair is permanent. Rust ALWAYS wins, eventually. But I do think that completely getting rid of the cancer will always be the best method. As I stated in my build thread (no one comments anymore, you guys don't love me anymore...) my next project is to bed-line the fender wells to add another measure of rust prevention.

Still trying to figure out the freight train issue(it smokes aloooot) and it’s my DD. Put a mini me together(b7/y8) in my 2000 ex and didn’t know it was smoking a little bit. Tried seafoam and it made it worse(even 120 miles later). Now to find a low mileage engine and put my bigger cam in. I used an engine out of a 1995 dx(huge mistake) will never do that again.

It would've be so much easier to 'like' a post. But HT is still behind on the times. Besides, build threads are like the movies to me. Sit back and watch the magic happen.

Got my powered ek left hand drive headlights. Also got my left hand drive non srs dash with large defrost

1 powered light is Stanley, the other is valeo. The Stanley unit is made from superior quality plastic, the valeo seems to have more engineering behind the adjustability however the plastic housing and the silicon sealant is very distorted. So long term I'm saying Stanley is better than valeo.

Now I just need to find another Civic to put them in

I replaced the radiator. The coolant hoses were a pia, but the rest was pretty straight forward.

As a Subaru enthusiast, when I started having issues with the cooling system, I feared it would be a head gasket, but I then I figured I'd try the cheap things first, and get a new cap. While I was looking at the radiator, I noticed a crack extending out from the Honda logo, heading towards the radiator cap.

So a new TYC radiator is now in, and it's hopefully burped.

Finally finished street tuning my boosted B20v today and spent the better part of the day fixing leaks and blown out oil lines while on the side of the highway. But, she runs like a champ now.

I need to find another 96-98 car for my next build.

Technically the white LX is still mine. My father In law lost the title, I bought the car for $1400 to have a back up for my back up daily driver. I finished the restoration of the gst, my father in law just had to have it though. Soon enough it will be back though unless I find another

Here’s the coolant switch and temp sender adapter installed in the radiator hose that goes from t-stat to radiator.

It works great. Keeps my temps down, but I still wish I could find some kind of OEM (not necessarily Honda) radiator that could fit inside the radiator support and under the hood latch. I looked at those scirocco ones, but the hoses are just on the wrong side. I could flip it, but there’s a plastic nipple that’d be too vulnerable in that position. I really don’t like the $500+ prices of custom stuff either.

I decided to just get a new adapter instead of trying to pilfer it off you.
