Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
So i did two fun things this weekend. My wife and I bought a 2018 Sport Hatchback for her, and then turned around and bought a 92 CX hatch with a B20 swap for me. We've got a problem. A hatch problem...
The CX needs some work, but I knew that going in. Mechanically, she's solid. Cosmetically, as you can see, she needs some love. But hey, I love a good challenge.

I'm pretty psyched myself! This weekend I had to remind myself about 25 times... "This is a project car...this is a project car" as one of the cheap "tuner" wheel locks snapped off below the head of the stud, and as the oil pressure light started flashing. Time to start tearing her apart! This morning, I'll be working on my new build thread. Stay tuned, boys and girls (or is it zee and zer? or they and thur?)

Sold my Mini-me this weekend... Thought I'd use the money to buy a B swapped hatch, but my truck needs repairs so now I get to walk everywhere until payday and I can buy another car

Thats the place! I’m going to order 100 ECU terminals for my Accord ECU and will order all connector terminals for sensors and whatever. I think everything should cost under around $75 or so. Wire is going to bite my wallet, but who cares? Lol
I also learned how to do concentric twisting on a wire harness. Stoked about that.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
What I did today to my del Sol is not what I wanted to be doing, lol. Took it last week to get inspected. Just bought the car in DC and took it back to PA where we have yearly safety inspection. Dude wouldn't even let me drive the car. Found out why after I towed it home; turn signals didn't work, speedo was way too slow, temp gauge didn't work. Bought a cluster off eBay, fixed the speedo issue. Temp gauge turns out was fine, it was a stuck open thermostat that made it seem broke (it took a long time to warm up). Turn signals was a bad flasher module. I was hoping I was clear for inspection but it failed on three issues: no windshield wipers (forgot to put the arms back on after paint, lol), axle boot ripped up and oil dripping onto exhaust. I took them the wiper arms and told them to fix everything else. Got a call a few hours later that they sheared the heads off the exhaust bolts trying to take it off to access the pan. Said whatever, fix what needs fixed. Got the car back, fresh inspection.
Two days later, I smell burned oil. Looked under the car, the !@#%$^ oil pan is leaking again onto the exhaust - which is what I paid them $950 to fix. So today my del Sol is back in the shop to have the oil pan gasket replaced; again. Told them don't put another shitty cork gasket on, get something better so hopefully I'll be able to enjoy my "new" del Sol for more than a day or two this time lol.

Your problem probably wasn’t even the oil pan. I’d bet it was either a distributor seal/ O-ring or the valve cover gasket.

*shrug* No idea. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person; brakes and oil change are about it. I pay the mechanic to know what's up, and if it turns out you're right I'll be a little miffed at the expense. Part of why it was so expensive was time they spent fixing the exhaust problem when the bolt heads tore off. I don't blame that on them; rusty exhaust bolts are a bitch but if it didn't even need to be done I'll be a little annoyed.

You know, just takin' it day by day, being a living legend...
Well, I've been goin' hard in the paint here...
Holy ****, I actually washed a car...
Seriously. This never happens.
I went from 8 gallons (where I hit fuel starvation) to the new tank configuration. While I was at it, I bent the fuel pump bracket down 1.25" to sit at the very base of the sump bucket.
Leaving the house with 2.2 gallons of fuel measured out of my 5 gallon gas can, I drove five miles over to get some 91 Premium... 13.1 gallons went in and I couldn't stop smiling. I was checking everywhere for leaks as I couldn't believe what I just witnessed. Appearance wise, the two tanks are IDENTICAL in external dimensions, so this must mean that internally the VX tank is blocked off to the tune of at least 6 gallons.
I found some EX Speaker Pods a while back and wanted to drop in my Audison Primas.
The woofers still aren't in yet since I'll need a 5/8" ABS or MDF spacer, but the tweeter pods look legit.
Mmm, great staging off the glass.
I had a really hacked up old harness from the Integra that I cleaned up for this new home. The center "vampire" clamps are for a bluetooth module that I am skipping the install on for now.
Good enough! Definitely looks better in this chassis than a DC2.
I don't wear protection.
So, where are we now?
Overall, the drivability of this car is incredible:

Overall, the drivability of this car is incredible:
- I ended up picking up and installing a JDM ITR 25mm Front Swaybar, but am awaiting endlinks that aren't 30yrs old.
- The KW V3 configuration is damn near perfect and it only took a few days to really understand what the chassis was asking for.
- Summer Gas is allowing me to ramp up more timing than previously, so I'll go throw another 0.5* of timing in throughout my map tonight and see if she likes it.
- On/Off transitions with engine mapping are superb
- Starts like OEM Turns in better than ANY car I've ever tuned, which is saying a lot
- Dead neutral at 10/10ths where I can drive at EPIC paces on mountain roads using shitty little 205/50-15 500 Treadwear All Seasons.
