started cleaning the engine bay and removed the master and booster in preparation for the brake upgrades, also removed the rack and took it apart, hopefully it goes back together without any issues still need tro order a few more parts to reassemble it next weekend so i can actually move the car again, really hard to steer a car without it hahaha

Opened up the engine bay by deleting the A/C, power steering and cruise control. Just have to finish the loop on the power steering next weekend with a small section of hose. Also took a stab at removing the tangled mess of stereo wiring the previous owner looks to have done himself, that was no small feat and I just have the trunk to do now. Ran out of time to install Energy engine/tranny mounts and shifter bushings, so hopefully if the weather keeps up I can get to that soon. I love the way an engine feels after beefing up the mounts.

So you guys know that harmonic balancer/ Crankshaft bolt that's a bitch to come off? Apparently it can come out while driving. Yes, I torqued it down. Guess there's a civic DX coming available for sale in Idaho.

happened to my b16 doing over 100 on the highway, the bolt came out and i made it home and ther bolt was laying inside the pulley. i think the tension from the ac belt kept the pullet from actually falling off, threw a new pulley, bolt and key on and its been doing fine ever since. and yes i also torqued the old one properly and used a brand new oem bolt, it took around 4 years before it worked its way out

I replaced the high pressure ac hose, replaced the expansion valve, drier, and I'm still having pressure issues on the low side. If I rev the car it will suck up freon, but at idle its basically not building pressure on the high side
So I need an ac compressor

Stripped more plastidip off the car, almost done overall. OEM mirrors are black again and are drying.
Got my homemade velocity stack that will reside in the B7 intake tube drying on the throttle body. I used some Vaseline to coat the throttle body mouth so the Permatex The Right Stuff doesn't adhere to it as it dries to the silicone ring. Tomorrow I will put more on now that the lip to the throttle body mouth had been created and I will shape it with some 3/8" or 1/2" hose. I will cut it open, grease it up with Vaseline and then goop the mouth of the stack, the run the cut in half hose around to create the curved opening.
I'll take pics of where it's at tonight and what I do tomorrow to share. I had to go from a 2.5" intake tube down to the 2" throttle body opening the VX has since I am unable to locate a VX intake tube at the moment.

Getting yerself suckturd in.....
Ya know it should still work out fine, I said the same thing when this VX popped up. Not good timing for me, but when a rare bird or good find comes along, it's almost never at a good time.
Maybe flip your white one to keep the Si, and reduce your cost of the Si?

Recently replaced the driver side window regulator, and the passenger door handle. Also put the OEM bra back on. Next on the list is to remove and repaint the side moldings, remove the old tint, and possibly installing one of those ricey rear bumper fogs.

The only thing that’s been stopping me
is cutting into my SIR bumper. I’m not very concerned that it’s not the proper fog to use.
that, and I’ve already got a bumper fog; I’m not interested in spending money on a set of tail lights. It will probably be something I regret later on like a tattoo, but oh well. My car’s already ricey anyways
