Tell me what kind of ecu I have
I am buying my dad's 94 del. It says Si Vtec on the trunk. It has a b16 dohc vtec engine. When I try to find the ecu type online I can't seen to find a stright answer. Because del sol si also comes with the sohc. So what is it? P28, P30? It is a b16a3 right?

Definitely P30. You are partially right on the Del Sol thing. They made th Del Sol Si(SOHC) and the Del Sol Si VTEC(DOHC). There was also the Del Sol S.

u actually have one of the first B16a's to come to the U.S. besides the B16a2 in the 99-00 Si. B16a3's are OBD-I of course so easy to tune from what I understand/learned.

similar question, I am swapping in a d15b with vtec, and was told i need a p30 ecu for an automatic trans.... is that right?
