Default Tein suspension help...

Hi guys, Im new to honda-tech. I got a few questions about the suspension on my 95 civic ex. I got Tein Flex full coilovers, however, my rear pass-side shock is giving me problems. when i got over bumps i hear a loud clank, like there's no pressure in the shock. my first guess is that the shock is completely blown. However, i tryed pumping up and down, vigorously, on the side where the shock is and after i let go, the suspension stiffens up right away. No bounce. when i drive its very stiff, as always. im ready to change out my rear suspension, but i want to know is theres a more effective way to diagnose a blown damper. also i took a look and the rubber bump fell outof the dustcover, it now moves freely up and down the strut. i doubt that his causes the loud clanking but maybe you guys have some suggestions.

i would guess then that with you living in NY and them being on the hardest setting they're blown or at least the one is. Contact Tein about rebuilding them if you're wanting to keep them

i was accually thinking of getting kyb agx and some tein springs on the back. i dont want to spend too much money on it. I could imagine rebuilding them would not be cheap, considering that i would have to get something in the meantime. anyways, would it be possible to use the springs from my coilovers with some new kyb's, or tokico's???

well...you never know, maybe for the price that you gonna spend on new shocks and springs, you can prob just see if you can get it rebuilt like stated above...at the end, you prob spend about the same or so and still have Tein suspension...but i really dont know, im just throwing a suggestion out..

the rebuilding isn't all that bad.. Maybe you can find a local shop to do it as well?

Coilover springs are nothing like regular lowering springs
