TEIN SS suspension bolt HELP!! 96 EK
anyone knows why this bolt keeps on unwinding after tightening??
i tighten it for like a week then it unwinds again..
i just noticed this last week..
did i do something wrong when installing it?
help out guys..
also.. everytime i hit a bump.. i hear a loud knock from the back suspension..
im not sure if its my exhaust system (missing a hanger)
or its the rear suspension..

Re: (Enjokosai)
it might be a bad pinch nut. get new ones or use some loctite mine used to do that all the time. I also get the knocking from the rear passanger side. dont have a clue as to what it is. I think its my exhaust.

that happeend to me once on my ej6, but after retightening it has not moved... are you tightening it while the tire is lifted in the air? just align it properly and retighten the bolts to the correct torque numbers!

this is what you should do, and does not require you to remove it from the car.
jack the car up so there is no load on the coilovers. loosen the two spring seats and put them all the way at the bottom. this will make the spring on the coilover come away from the top hats and will not put any spring pressure on the coilover. then torque down that top nut until it stops on the coilover shaft (if you have all the washers on the shaft it will stop) the torque should be set at 21foot lbs as instructions show. if the shaft moves and your not able to torque it down. you will have to use vise grips and lock it on the top most part of the shaft. once it is locked torque it slowly and it should work without any damage to the coilover shaft. once it is torqued then move the spring seats up and adjust your ride hight accordingly.... this is what i did without any problems. i also have a second nut on top aswell incase it comes loose.
