your thinking about the right thing, but the electronic controll unit requires a tien flux setup or higher. I belive the SS is not compatiable with the control unit.

The Tein Flex the the lowest kit that most people run with the EDFC which allows for the driver to adjust the dampaning force of the coilover from inside the car. Now as far as ride hieght you would be looking more into an air cylinder or something along those lines.

Re: tein ss- ride height in your car (nocaryet)
i read on the tein webiste about this but i am still confused on what dampering force is and the advantages of it. i read soemthign along the lines that you can set 3 types of "road conditions" where it could suit a family, race , and driving mode. im confused.
does this EDFC give you a better ride? im confused but i very interested in the EDFC and a coil system by tein but i dont know which to get.

you need the coilovers in the car before you get a EDFC. All the EDFC does is lets you select how stiff or loose your shocks will be from inside your car. If you don't have an EDFC then you have to get out of your car and do it at each wheel inside of from inside on the fly.

ah thanx. i guess it would be good to invest in. is the tein flex coilovers similar to SS except that you can use the EDFC?

the flex and ss are almost the same.....flex has stiffer spring rates and comes with the upper pillow ball mount "stock" its an option on the SS. Also I believe the Flex has one more adjustment point, perch I believe and a helper spring....
