Tein SS on 92 VX
Hey guys, very very very soon i will have the money to buy a suspension set up(stupid bosses who dont pay ....$1600 due since middle of august! ) and im looking at the tein ss full coilover set because of it simplicity and (what i think...) quality. if anybody has any experience with the setup, advice would be great, good and bad (and pics would be awesome!) ive also heard of people getting the setup for the integras because it comes with stiffer spring rates( ) but im worried about that not allowing it to be lowered enough for my taste ( ) but i dont know if that has much if any effect of ride height, and im not looknig to lower much anyway, 1.5-2 inches. also if anyone is looking to sell a set of ls mesh rims with or without tires, let me know, hopefully will have money for that too soon . and if you guys give some good feedback, ill post some pics of my lude seats.... blackmail is so sweet. haha. anyway. thanks for the help honda dudes.

What if I don't want to see your 'Lude seats?....j/k
My friend has them on his 92 Cx. He got the DC2 rates. I like them a lot. His car is slammed pretty good, tires are tucked.

I had the exact setup that your talking about (except springs rates). All you have to do is order the coilover kit for the DC2 the coilovers are the same as the EGs but the spring rates are just stiffer because the DC2 weighs more. I really loved my SS' the car handled great. Here are some pics.

My brother has the SS's on his EJ6. They're good. Thought they couldve been better though. For my EH_2 i will get SS's also but DC2 rates

The SS is just typical entry level coilover quality like an Apexi world sport or Tokico R coilover. The higher-end TEINs (RAs HAs etc.) are much higher build quality than the SS.
Not to say that the SS are junk either, they ride awesome and handle really nice but definitely are not in the upper half of the coilover world. The higher weight (steel damper body) and lack of adjustments do make a difference IMO. Reducing unsprung weight really makes a car feel awesome, it just costs more. Like most things you get what you pay for

I bought mine a week or so ago, but I didn't have the chance to install them. I keep hearing ppl talking about DC2 spring rates.... I'm pretty clueless about what that means. Does that mean setting the shock setting to DC2 specs? If it is, can someone tell me how to adjust to that setting? Thanks!

If you have a 92-95 Civic your suspension is compatible with a 94-01 teg. Therefore many EG owners order as if they had a teg, thus having stiffer spring rates from the heavier weight of the teg as opposed to the civic. In other words: Teg suspension on your civic.
If i were you i would try to exchange them considering that you have a H22, so more stiffness would help j00!

Re: (EGEESIX)
if you really like to dump your car and wanna a really adjustable one. get the RE setup for the dc2-r. it has helper springs and the complete body is threaded all the way.

Uh no the Tein SS are now like the WS's. Spring rates are stiffer and you can adjust the strut. WS arem ore comparable to Tein Basic.
The diff between Tein Basic is you can adjust the strut. Spring rates are the same.

Correction to your statement. The basic Tein coilover doesnt have adjustable struts. You can only adjust the hight. The SS kit you can adjust the struts seeting as well as the hight.
