i was wondering if anyone had a set of tein s-tech springs on tokico illumina struts and how they rode. or what would be a good strut setup with tein s-tech springs.

i have the teins s-tech but on kyb-agx i like the ride. not too stiff yet good enough to through in the corners a bit. ive heard bad things from tokico and stayed away from them. you can find fome agx for cheap on ebay

got the tein s-techs mated to some koni reds. Definitely an improvement over stock, not a horribly low drop, and it's my daily so it's exactly what I need. Konis are good shocks, but they might cost a little bit more. My whole setup ended up being around $430.

I have Tein S-Tech springs mated with KYB GR-2 non-adjustable struts on my daily driver and the ride is excellent.
I'd stay away from Tokico - I've nevewr driven a car with Tokicos that I liked, and I have driven a lot of cars on tokicos seeing as how I've been at my shop for 6 years now and all we do is Hondas/Acuras with a lot of lowered car alignments, suspension installs, etc.
IMO:
Koni>KYB>Tokico
I say Koni is better for sure, but for S-Tchs KYBs are awesome and much cheaper.

S techs are going to feel slightly tighter than stock. It's by no means a performance spring. It's too soft for that. It has in mind comfort and a lower stance, a 1.5" lower stance, that is.

however if u weigh anything more than 150 lbs, once you sit in the car, the fender will be right above the tire. it looks perfect, i cant say the same about performanc.e

I had tech's on illuminas. It was a nice ride, but it didn't handle much better than stock. I switched out to some H&R sports, and it sits a little higher, but handles quite a bit better.

Currently sitting on sports with kyb's. I don't like the ride hight but it was much better then stechs.

That's a very mild setup. The ride will be similar to stock. Handling will also be similar to stock.
