I have the S tech's on my 99 SI and they drive great for the daily driver. The neuspeeds are nice and would deffenetly be a bit more stiff then the s techs, but probably handle better.

neuspeed race is a better product!

they are stiffer, lower, handle better. besides everyone is riding the tein wagon, they'll change springs when the next big wave comes around.

Would you prefer a comfortable ride or better performance. That is generally the tradeoff.

These are what ive found as far as the spring rates of the ones you mentioned.
Tein S. Tech - 235F/140R
Neuspeed Sport - 280F/180R
Neuspeed Race - 485F/395R

The difference in spring rates between the Neuspeed Sport and S-Techs is fairly minimal. The Teins will be just slightly softer and probably offer similar though a bit lessened performance characteristics. The Neuspeed Race is quite stiff, that will be a hefty loss of comfort levels. Thats stiffer than I would want run on the street and Im generally ok with a somewhat stiff ride. Then again the Race will offer that different level of performance. Also the rates are more closely matched f/r, which should help alleviate some of the stock understeer tendancies.

As far as the quality question that was raised earlier, Neuspeed used to be made by H&R, and I have no questions about the quality of H&R's product. Granted they are no longer produced by H&R, but I would expect a similar level of quality control that they had under previous manufacture.

I've had Neuspeed race springs on my car for about 3.5 years now and I wouldn't have gotten anything different (especially for $50). They handle great but they are stiffer than stock. I've had friends with Coilovers and KYBs ride in my car and they say that my car rides better. I would have to suggest that you get the Neuspeeds.

I've never run Neuspeeds, but I have Tokico Illumina 5-ways and Tein S-Techs and I love the ride.

It's comfortable for a DD.

TEIN S-TECH, stand for SOFT TECH cause that's the way they ride. Very comfortable springs for the daily driver, especially living in urban citys. Neuspeed on the other hand is a much firmer, flatter, race-ready ride tht you will be more happy with especially on the curved highway on-ramps, or last-minute highway exits when you giotta cut 3 lanes!

When you get the springs, please get front and rear upper strut bars, then the front and rear lower tie-bars. They work! You can get the E-bay special (4-piece combo) for an amazing price, and is made out of the same material like DC sports
ALUMINUM!

i had the tein s-techs...they look terrible on civics because the drop is hardly noticeable...the only good thing is how comfy the ride is

now i ride on H&R race and these bitches HURT (since they are a race spring) but they handle alot nicer and the stance is alot better looking too...

i had the neuspeed sports w/ tokico blues on my 98 EX and i loved the ride. i now have Tein SS's on my SI and the ride is great also. i need to raise it some though. if your not worried about adjusting ride height i'd definitely suggest the neuspeeds again..although you should absolutely get aftermarket shocks with it.

I've never heard about that before. I bought my springs used and they were fine, and after a little more than a year on my car they're still fine. (Only reason I know they're still fine is because I swapped them from stock shocks to my Tokicos.)

I recommend going with Eibach Sportline springs!!! the racing bred suspension company. Eibach does Rally, Formula-1, Drag Racing, SCCA (track racing) NASCAR. Trust me they have the racing heritage and technology. They also have the will to win. These are a very awesome set of springs, and provide a firm ride

this pic is off teins website of the s'techs... why are people saying that its barely noticeable from stock?

im gunna install these springs on stock shocks in about 2 weeks when i get my car back.

NAem1 - do you have pictures of these springs on your car?

That pic does not show the drop of the S-Tech very well at all. The wheel gap is much more than that. Believe me, I've had them before on my 99 civic.

thier coilovers had a rusting problem years ago, but i've heard they have since fixed that with a better protective coating.

I've had Neuspeed sport and race springs. i liked the race springs a whole lot better but they also had jamex struts on them. I then changed to Spax Rsx 28 way coilovers and they were loud as ****. Now I have a set of prototype D2's that are 36 way adjustable and i am the happiest i have ever been.

I have KYB AGX adjustable shocks with Tein S-tech springs and reason I got it was because I wanted performance and daily driving at the same time!

Therefore I'd recommend the Tein S-tech, more of a softer/comfortable ride.
