Default Tein HA owners, read here please!! All others are welcome too!

I am contemplating getting a set of Tein HA coilovers for my 93 Hatch and was wondering what everyone thought about them. I will be installing an H22 soon and I want the suspension to be set up and ready for it. Let me know your thoughts on this upgrade.

I`d go for it if you can find a used set in good condition. They don`t sell the HA`s new anymore.

Sounds good if you're going for great handling. I picked up mine for 900 and had them on my 92 hatch. I just took them off though to try a different setup. If my cuurent buyer flakes I might still keep them. I really like how well they handled, just wasn't that pleased with the comfort of the ride.

depends on ur spring rates. id use the integra spring rates or order custom spring rates to accomadate for the heavier (75lbs) motor.

ive driven a civic coupe with an h22a that had KYB AGX shocks and Eibach prokit springs and it handled great. it used to have a B16 before, and i cant really tell the difference, except for now it hauls ***!

Cool that's nice to know even AGX do the job well with H22A. Like them even more now

The Tein's will be great with the swap. I am running the Type Flex's and truthfully I wouldn't have chosen a different route if I were to do it again. If you found them for $800 new then I would definitely pick them up. Good luck.

Tein dont make the HA anymore. it was replaced by the SS, which isnt made for the ITR. only ones for the ITR are RA and RE or Flex

What is the difference between the old HA's and the new SS's?? I think with all of the good remarks, I will definitely be buying them! I will just have to hold back on the H22 for another month.

I think standard spring rates for the HAs are 10kf, 7kr. And that should be plenty for you.

SS Springs aren't as high as the HA's.

Not to get OT on this thread, but recently, Tein has come out with a Basic coilover series. It's lower than the SS series. I think the MSRP on them start at $799. If this is old news, then for me, I just noticed the ad yesterday.

Comfort???
It's just not there. That's why I took them off. I put on AGX/GC w/GC upper mounts hoping to drop my car mildly but still retain the stock ride quality, but that didn't happen. I think I'm just gonna put the Teins back on. If the ride's gonna be ****, might as well keep awesome handling.

i have the HA suspension on my 97 prelude right now. if i put a lude motor in an
eg hatch could i just use the HA's from my lude on the eg? would they fit correctly?
this is probably a stupid question.
