Teg Mirrors on an EK
Allright, I know this has been covered NUMEROUS times, but I tryed a search and couldnt find what I needed. One of my mirrors (from the previous owner) broke a mirror off and I keep having to re-epoxy it, and am tired of pulling it off every couple of weeks to re-fix it. I know the Teg mirrors are pointed, not round, but could I round them with a dremel? and do the bolts line up? How hard is it to make them fit an EK hatch? Thanks guys!

because they were made for RHD cars...and the mirros are convex/concave the other way, making visibility crappy....

Re: Teg Mirrors on an EK (Ricey McRicerton)
I HAVE TRIED THIS!!!!!
it will not work for a few reasons
1: the bolt pattern
2:Tegs and ludes are pointy, all civics are rounded corners, look closer.
3: door fender alignerment, you'll have to have a body shop mold the mirror into a new shape and redrill the holes and i still dont know if you would even have to bang in part of the door frame to fit, when for all that price you can buy JDM mirrors or spoon knok offffs.
email me for more if ya want, but i bought PY ITR mirrors and tried it on my EK, at a body shop with my body shop guy so i know, ok OK!?!?

Re: Teg Mirrors on an EK (G_Force_Si)
to make it "fit" u gotta cut/saw/sand the triangle part till it matches the triangle on ur civic, then u gotta redrill new holes so that the 3 bolts will be able to be used to secure the mirror. its a lot of work and i also agree to just get jdm replicas or spoons or soemthing its not worth the work and the finished product isn't as good as u th ink. if u're mirrors are in good condition u can sell them for 100 bucks at least or so and just pay another 20 for the autodynamic's.. they rock(look good even with the abs plastic it comes in)
