Tech specs and hoe to identify Sir2 cams?
How would i identify an Sir2 cam?
I was told that it was a tiny upgrade from the stock cams in my 99-00 si and got a set for cheap (like $30!) so thought i'd throw em in for the hell of it on saturday aftenoon.
Just want to understand what the differences are and how i confirm the cams i have are SiR2 cams (which i gather are different from the earlier SiR ones)
Any help appreciated.

Re: Tech specs and hoe to identify Sir2 cams?
I sort of agree, I know the differences will be minimal. Its just for the fact that i'm a curious bugger and will be in there swapping stuff about anyway so might as well give it a whirl.
From what i can find out the sir2 cams have 0.2mm more lift on the inlet side than the 99+ b16a2 cams and some different duration specs although all the information i can find seems to be different from different sources!
It'd be great to confirm what the true differences are.The cams have some letters stamped on them ('L' on the exhaust and 'K' on the inlet) but i cant seem to find any reference to the letters that would help me identify what they're from...
I'm wondering why the EM1 cams (99-00 model) are different from other EK4 cams- and what those differnces are (perhaps toned down to pass more strict emissions laws etc?) and therefore might be a bigger difference than if swapping from, say, some '96 ek4 cams?
