Default TDC marker on AEM trutime cam gear

Which line is the TDC mark for a D15B7?

Sorry, its kinda hard to see, but clockwise from the left is 1,2,3,4... I don't think 4 is used for TDC on this, but just in case. Thanks.

just take out the spark plug on cyclinder 1 and turn the crank till its on TDC. Then you can check the camgear to see where or which is TDC on it. Hope that helps.

Well, the head is off the block, and the guy I got it from marked the distributor and crap, but it wasn't set for TDC... The #1 piston was about halfway down the cylinder...

Hehe, I have my block set up to TDC.

i got an idea. try installing the stcok cam and set that to TDC and then replace it with the AEM. Cause when you set it...the cam should only fit into the groove. But thats just a thought. Hope that helps too. Good luck!

Well I don't have the stock cam gear. But that gave me an idea. There's a picture in my Hyanes book of a stock cam gear in TDC, lemme see where the woodruff key is. All the same, if anyone knows which markers are for which engines, it would help me out a lot.

the ones on the side, are to be in line with the top of the head. The mark you have on top in the picture, lines up with the timing mark on the timing belt cover. You'll see it.

So, its practically in TDC the way it sits... Thats in the exact same spot that it was when the head was taken off, and the #1 piston was 1/2 way down the cylinder. Its advanced 4* on the crank, does it make that much of a difference?
