HELP TD05H "big 16G" on D16ZC
Alright, I am new to this site but not Hondas. I have a d16zc with about 210k miles on it. I've ran it hard everyday of it's life. I have had no problems from the motor at all. I completely balanced the bottom end of the motor and installed a cold air intake, stage 3 clutch "6 puck with no springs, tons of chatter" and upgraded to a free flow exhaust. Ok, now that you know what I am working with (1995 civic ex Canada spec "no a/c but LSD front end", I balanced the motor @ 20,000 miles).
I have a td05h turbo, tubular exhaust manifold, black stone inter-cooler and a few odds and ends. Definitely not a complete turbo kit. I want to install this on my motor with of course all the other parts needed.
My questions are; will my motor have a lot of lag with this turbo, will I need to upgrade pistons to run above 6 psi, at what point or psi will i need to install a block guard, i would think I would need to rebuild the entire motor with all of the miles it has, but if leak test shows good, will it be necessary, and finally, can anyone tell me what they think all of this will cost? I have no inter-cooler piping, grommets, t-bolts, banjo bolts, down pipe, or pretty much anything else needed. I am very capable of fabricating my own parts and tubing, with the exception of cnc parts.
