taurus cupholder/coin console
not sure if this has been posted before but i noticed a lot of these not fitting right. so figured i give a run at modding it and it actually fits like stock now!! took all of about 10 minutes.
this is how it fit before, they wouldn't close completely
things you need:
console out of a ford taurus (not sure of the year, pretty common at the junk yards)
dremel
first: you need to use your dremel and cut the tab on the underside of the actual console, it makes the console considerably smaller and lets the console push through more.
(don't have pictures of that because it was already installed in the car and i couldn't get it back out )
second: pull the cupholder and coin holder pocket out (i cut it before i decided to take pictures :X )
third: use the dremel to cut off about an inch of the end of each holder.
fourth: put the holders back in and enjoy a nice cold drink while you take a drive!!
