Ok I am trying to figure out what this tapping noise is. I think it may just be the titanium retainers, or piston slap, but then again i really dont know that much about all this.

Here is a video, i know it isnt the best quality but ithink you can here the tapping, seems like its coming from the head, becomes pretty inaudible when you rev the engine, but at idle you can hear it:

From the vid it sounds like your injectors....

put the tip of a screwdriver on one of them and your ear to the other side of the screwdriver.... see if its the same noise your hearing...

if you dont hear anything similar on the injectors

use the screwdriver in other places until you pinpoint the area of the problem..

that should narrow it down quite a bit


to me it just sounds like noisy honda injectors.. and im guessing theyre aftermarket which mean even noisier

which are the injectors


put a screwdriver where the injectors goes into the manifold
see if it sounds like that

im going to try an adjust the valve lash tomorrow

i hear the injectors but if you listen carefully uou can also hear a ticking like the valves or something.

I got dsm 450s and i know they are loud but i think the valves may need some adjusting
