Tanabe Sustec Under Brace - Anyone tried it?
Company Site:
http://www.rd-tanabe.com/english/other/brace/sub.html
Retailer:
http://www.tornactive.com/products.c...ef303f&PID=873
I was more interested in how it mounted to the frame.
Was there any difference in how the car responed to steering input afterwards?
Thanks

are you talking about the tie bar? I use a Cusco front tie bar, which is pretty similar to the Tanabe one. I didn't notice a different in handling, but I can tell the frame has stiffened considerably. This comes mainly from entering driveways at an angle. With it installed, if I go up a steep driveway that flattens out at the top with my pass.-side wheels touching first, they'll actually lift up when my driver's-side wheels make contact. Not good for the frame, but I know the Cusco bar is doing its job. But I didn't really notice any difference in steering.

I'd like to try it, but I'm wondering if it will clear a 93 hatch with a swap. I guess it probably should, since it was intended for the Japanese market Civics. Already have 7 bars, might as well make it eight
