Default Updated: Tanabe DF210 springs (with pics)

I ordered a set of Tanabe DF210 springs the other day and I'll keep this posted with pictures and a review. My question for all of you would be how do they ride? I picked the DF's because they had the highest spring rates and biggest drop. Im going to be using these on stock shocks for now because of a lack of $$.. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

If you are running a big drop you are probably going to need new shocks/struts soon, I would recommend koni's, I can't count how many people I know that are happy with them

Its not a very big drop, 1.8" front and rear. The spring rates are like F:4.5k and R:3.0K or something near that. I do plan on getting struts sometime soon, just dont have the money right now. I was looking at KYB AGX's. My friend just got AGX's and GC coilovers on his Si. My biggest concern is how it will ride on stock struts.

the reality is, is that it's not going to ride great no matter what, agx with ground control's are a good combo. If you have less than a 2 inch drop the struts won't go as fast as over a 2 inch drop but they still are going to go faster than normal. The ride won't be terible but don't plan on impressing a date with a lincoln type ride

Well, its been since september but they are finally on. The ride is very nice and it looks very clean. The only complaint i have is that on bumps the back makes a loud thud noise... I thought it would be bouncy like shitty coilovers but it is so smooth. Definately I will post pics tomorrow if i can figure out how to work the camera and if it doesnt snow.

Sounds like you made a good choice on the Tanabe springs! I always run Tanabe springs in my Honda's and I love them, and every part Tanabe makes for my cars . I always run them with KYB AGX's and I love the setup they handle really well for the price and the ride is great. I know a kid that runs Tanabe springs on stock shocks and the ride is not anything like matching them with the KYB AGX's. So if you want a good street setup that can handle a little track action, it sounds like you are looking in the right direction. I have the GF210 springs currently with the AGX's on my Hatch and they are the stiffest Tanabe springs I have had so far.

I'm not sure, but today I was looking at my car from a distance, and it looks like the front is a little higher than the rear. Did anyone else have this happen? Is it normal? They are gonig to be paired with AGX's in the summer.

Damn looks pretty good from what I can see! Yeah I know what you mean, on my hatch the front of my car has more wheel gap than my rear. It has been driving me nuts, but this is the only set of Tanabe springs I have had that have made my car look that way and I am not to happy about it and my shocks are brand new and the springs are brand new so I don't know what is up with them.

I heard that Tanabe has a 3 year warranty on their suspension proucts. Have you ever dealt with that or know anything about it? I think they are supposed to settle sometime, but im not sure... I will show you a better pic when the snow clears up.

Its normal. If u look really closely, your rear fender is not as tall as the front ones. Its like that for most cars.
