Default Taking a trip with a fully built motor?

I currently live in las vegas and was thinking about driving my fully built hatch out to the bay area in cali. Its about a 530mile drive one way about 7-8hrs. What should I do. Here is some info on the motor and tranny.
B20 block
12.5 compression
GSR fully port polish 5 angle head
Ferrea valves
Toda valve springs and retainers
JUN stage 3 cams
hondata s100 chipped for 100 octane and 91
01 USDM ITR tranny with 4.75 final drive

In your opinion what should I do?
Leave it back home? or drive the beast and possibly race some people on the way?
I want to drive it, but the rpms are kinda high due to the gearing. It'll be revving at 5k for 530 miles, is that safe? Just want some input and your opinions.
thanks,
matt

Back when I had the '97 Prelude SH, I built that thing with every spare penny I had. I was running a Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo, usually on 8 psi when I was using pump gas. I installed a J&S Safeguard so I knew how much boost was safe on the particular octane I was running. I had it shipped to Long Beach from Honolulu and drove it there. The best gas I could find there was 90 octane which I could only get 6 psi out of without knock. I drove it to Las Vegas (had to turn the air conditioner off going over the mountains) where I could get 100 octane (I think) from the pump at the Rebel 76 stations and ran 16 psi safely. I put 60,000 miles on the turbo before I lost the car, still running strong. It went from coast to coast on that build. I would suggest taking enough gas with you to make the trip there and back as it might be really hard to find a decent octane in California with their emissions laws.

Please don't race anyone on the public roads. It's not worth it.

Also if you are going to California you may wish to consider vehicle security, I don't know if you have seen the amount of 'stolen' threads recently from that area.

cheers.
