Default taking off paint

i was woundering what the easiest way to take off white paint that on door panles, dash board, ect. . . . . . .
or should i just paint over them ????
the reason why i'm asking is that i got the hatch from another person and i dont' like the white interior. . too much white hahaha

but yeah i want the car to become a sleeper and that white gives that away

thanks

Yeah I'm pretty sure it would start to eat away at the plastic. I've tried acetone and alcohol and both have left noticable difference and fading of the plastic. But hey, if its nasty white you gotta do something Worst comes to worst it makes the plastic looks nasty and faded and you paint over it.

i wouldnt use acetone,..i work with acetone all day and that shiet will eat some shiet up if you dont dry it up fairly quickly,..i would try sanding,..get most of the stuff off by sanding with a higher grit sand paper,..then use a lesser grit to smooth out and make it a little rough,..then use primer and then paint,... good luck
