Default Taking care of the CF hood

what do you do when the cf hood starts to fade a little?

when it starts fading, more than likely your going to have to sand it down and re-clear coat it. I don't think you can just polish it out...

How complicated is this to do? Is it easy to sand too far and mess the hood up?

not to steal the thread or anything buy my friends CF hood has little cf strands comming out of the top of the hood on the edge near the winshield whipers...is there such a think as clear coat touch up to cover that spot up?

clear coat will work for a couple months if you go DIY.... I think you can take it to a body shop and have them clear it for $75-100 bux or so... but for that much, I would just buy a new hood.

use meguires scratch-x to polish out the oxidation. then wax it.

If you dont know what you're doing you might mess up the hood... I would just take it to a shop and have them do it.

75-100 isn't worth buying a need hood is you have a Spoon hood.
