If you are going to take them completely apart you have to remove the 3 pins from the white connector. Dont make the mistake of cutting the wires just be patient with the pins and remove them with a paperclip or sharp pointy tool.

ok, im at work but this is how i remember how to take them apart once they are off the car:
remove pins from connector
take 3 screws from beneath the mirror to seperate the base from mirror
then gently remove mirror from pins holding it from the inside
then you'll find some more screw beneath the actual mirror
take those out and then you should have a total of 6 pieces in front of you
1. white connector
2. base that attached to car
3. mirror itself
4. motor inside mirror
5/6. 2 pieces that hold the mirror and motor
remove pins from connector

o k.. i found out how to take the mirror off.. you pull from the bottom out, then down. The three screws from the bottom should release it from the base? mind is still together.. maybe im scared of breakin them..

thanks for the help..
these are the steps just incase anyone else needs them.
1. pull mirror from the bottom out, then down.
2. take out screw right under the wire.
3. remove pins from white connector
4. remove 3 screws from bottom of the base.
5. pretty much it.

IS IT AT ALL POSSIBLE TO TAKE APART MANUAL (U.S.) SIDE MIRRORS AND REMOVE THE INTERNALS TO RE-INSTALL THE JDM POWER FOLDING INTERNALS INTO THE U.S. SHELLS?
