Taillight on crack
so im reversing my 94 eg hatch into the garage and my brother notices my rear right taillight goes out when i hit the brakes, but stays on when brake is released.. the left side tailight works just fine, but seems brighter seeing as it's getting more power.
any paticular ideas?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Wiring. I highly doubt it's anything huge. When I got my Del Sol I'd turn the headlights on... one would be bright, the other not. I'd turn the brights on... and it'd kind of do this "winking" effect... the brights would switch. It ended up being the retard who had it before me, wired the lights wrong.

is the fuse located under the dash or under the hood? because i checked under the hood and it was fine.
where can i locate my wire without ripping out my interior? is the wire located anywhere under the hood?

Check the wires at the bulb socket. Sounds to me like it's a grounding issue. It also may sound stupid, but try changing the bulb as well.

Re: Taillight on crack (speedooo)
fixed this problem months ago just thought i should complete the thread.
what i did was replace both bulb socket harnesses to see if the problem was acutually the bulb socket harness for that taillight, after doing so the problem occured on the other tailight. so after narrowing down to the real problem i just went to the junkyard and got a whole new tailight bulb socket harness and it worked.
