Open the hatch, look to the left, take the removeable cover off and take the nuts (4) off the tail light. Unplug the bulb harnesses and you're set unless I left something out. If I did you will see how easy it is to remove it anyway but that is pretty much all you need to know.
If you only need to replace the bulb, just twist and pull out.

You don't take off the lens. The bulbs plug into the back of the light.
