Re: Tach stoped working?
bump.
Does any one know witch connectors go to the tach sensor? Or where the sensor is?
How do i see if it is faulty?
Is this the right plug?

Re: Tach stoped working?
This seem like a dumb suggestion but are you sure the cluster is working properly? I'd check that first before going into the wiring.

Re: Tach stoped working?
everything is working except the tach.
Today is was hot out side and when i got off work i started my car and it was working again!
So i guess some moisture got to the line somewhere and the heat dried it out?
I would like to know how the tach works though and where the line goes and where the sensor is so i can diagnose this if it happens again. Can some one explain it or show me some pics or have a link? I searched but couldn't find anything substantial.

I am under the impression that it reads the amount of times the spark happens in a second?
The line goes under the engine and comes up on the driverside pillar?
in this pic?
What i am wondering is how this could suddenly stop working and then start working again a day later? Can moisture get in somewhere? the line is solid from the pillar to the distributor right?
