Tach reading

Tach reading
Can someone tell me what sensor the tach reading comes from in the distributor?
I have the infamous cel 9 - cyp sensor. Before I go through the exhausting trouble shooting effort I thought I would ask this.
The tach stopped working at the same time the cel came on. So I'd like to know if I'm getting the phantom error code and it's actually a different issue. If I can figure out what stopped the tach I think this issue should be solved.

Re: Tach reading
I know that. Looks like that comes from part of the igniter unit based off the wiring schematic. Could that going bad throw a false 09 cel for the cyp sensor?
The tach quit working the exact same time the cel came on and its code 09.

Re: Tach reading
Swap dizzy or ecu if you could get a hold of them. try checking continuity between the cyp connector and body ground. if no continuity, check resistence between the pins on the ecu for the cyp

Yea so far I've checked the resistance at the distributor for those sensors they were good. I've checked for continuity there was none which was good.
next I'm going to check for resistance at the ecu and continuity.
I need to also see if there is a way to test the ICM and see if that is the problem as I believe that is a replacement part that can be picked up at the store. Unfortunetly there isn't a big honda scene where i live so not to many parts available to swap.
