tach lead, cluster or engine bay?
Did you guys use behind the cluster to tap for aftermarket tach, or some connector in the engine bay that someone refers to that I'm still unable to find!! If you could let me know what harness and wire on the cluster of my EG to tap off of you would be the man!
Thanks, Josh
p.s. Just got a Stewart Warner Ultra shiftlite, will post pics after the install.

There is a blue wire just off the firewall on the driver's side of the engine bay. It's a single blue wire, tap into that. It doesn't even go into anything, just terminates. I'll see if I can find a pic.

use the blue wire right by the firewall on the drives side with a black rubber connector on the end of it. dont mess with the coil its internal, if you are stuck using another alternative use the blue wire on the distributor. make it look clean please!

There's no need to bring the wire back inside the car. Run the signal wire from the tach through the firewall and to the blue wire in the engine bay.
