A/T and M/T Air Intake Problem and Question.
ok, utterly stupid when it comes to technical engine stuff, but I ran into a problem.
i ordered an AEM V2 intake for my auto '94 DX Hatch. on the website it doesn't specify a/t or m/t only or both. just says 92-95 ex/dx/lx/si.
now, when it got here (yesterday), on the owners manual it says
"Installation Instructions for:
1992-1995 Honda Civic DX/EX/LX/SI M/T ONLY"
so, does this mean the instruction manual just tells you how to install it for a m/t or does it mean that this intake will only fit on a m/t civic?
any help is appreciated. thanks.

you shouldn't have a problem. possibly some clearance may be a tad bit tight but that's it. same thing happened when i first bought my dc 4-1 header. it said m/t only but it fit fine on my a/t.

ok, bumping this because i popped the hood on my car and held this intake up to get somewhat of an idea how it would sit.
now, the end of the stock intake manifold goes down through the top of the right wheel well and out, and the way this intake is shaped, it looks like it would run right into the SIDE of the wheel well, it's the normal diagonal piping from the engine, cuts down way before that hole in the wheel well and then straightens out again. now i don't know if there's something different you do when installing an aftermarket CAI, but i can't see how this would work. if there's something i'm not seeing, or something i wouldn't be able to notice just from looking under the hood, then please educate me. thanks.
