T-25 turbo on a 96-99 EX civic
Does anyone have a 95-99 Eclipse turbo (t-25) on there 96-99 D16Y8 and can coment on on the turbo and what kinda boost there making and how fast the turbo spools up. I was thinking about this setup with maybe 10psi max with a nice FMIC. I want some input from people that have done, seen or felt this setup. No guess work please

i've done a t3 setup on my car, and it's a little bigger than a t25 but not by much, and with the t3, there was major lag, and started boosting at about 3500. i say with a t25, you'd be good, for a nice setup. just remember, its not how much boost, but how much cfm the turbo is pushing.

check out homemadeturbo.com
If I remember right, they show how to build a custom setup with the turbo you mention.

I know what I'm doing and I have almost everything for the turbo system. I'm just wondering about the T-25 and it's boost characteristics on the D16y8.

I couldn't give you exact specs/details on the T-25, maybe the guys in F/I can help more. My understanding of the sizing, is that it is slightly smaller than the GReddy kit for D series engines. Very little lag, but not good for pushing a whole lot of boost. It has been done alot by D series guys, and I have actually seen a couple setups, so take that for what it is worth. Do some more researching, because I am only giving second hand info based mostly on stuff that I have read about. Like I said, give the guys in F/I a holler, and see if they give you some more advanced tech info. Good luck with the setup!
