Default Syncromesh??

I'll be switching my tranny fluid to GM Syncromesh Friday......currently I use Redline tranny fluid.............

Gm Dealers have if of course, but I called Napa since a fellow HT member said its available at Napa cheaper, does anyone have expieriance with Napa and syncromesh?? The Kid on the phone sounded retarded and tried selling me gear oil for my rear diff...I'm like I drive a honda.....she shut up and I bet though "why the **** does he wan GM fluid?" lolz....

3rd: How many quarts for a D series tranny??

NAPA charges more than your local chevy/gmc dealer and they usually don't carry the friction modified stuff.

Oh, and 2 quarts should do ya. I always buy an extra in case I kick one over.

Hmm, the dealer here wants 9.91 for reg and 11.34 for modified....

NOW HOW MUCH DO I NEED?? its been a while since I've changed my fuild....D series too....

Search the ITR forum. There's a post with a link to an online GM store that sells the Synchromesh cheaper than the local dealers.

At 11.34 he could probably save almost $4per quart of FM if he bought in packs of six over at http://gm.parts-performance-accessories.com/ but I hate waiting for things, especially fluids.
