Symptoms of main relay, but fuel pump seems to be kicking on....
I thought the main relay was going south on my 92 Si. It wouldn't start on hot days after sitting with the windows up. After a few tries it would usually fire.
Tonight I go out... its cool outside... and it just cranks, and cranks, and cranks. It will not start. I've tried letting it sit. I've tried just about all of the main relay tricks I can think of (this isn't my first Honda with starting issues). Finally I notice that the fuel pump is kicking on when I turn the key forward, the car simply isn't starting. It just cranks. I have some more investigating to do (making sure it's getting spark on all 4, etc), but is there anything common on 92-95 Civics that I should look for? I'm a 4th gen person normally.
Thanks!
Searched and didn't find anything too helpful.

All these people and no one has a good idea?
The car gets no spark but does get fuel. I'm going to test the ignitor and coil now... any other ideas would be greatly appreciated since I have not a clue what is wrong.
Thanks!

I have had similar problems with mine as well. Is yours stock? I have a 92 CX with a B16 and it does the same thing. It has been doing it ever since I owned it ( 3 years). It is really annoying, sometimes it would stall even at stop lights and I would have to push it! Really scary stuff to think about when you are just driving around. So I have been doing a lot of research on it. I changed entire distributors and it still does it. So I know its not the distributor.
It is either the fuel pump relay or the MAP sensor, those are the only things I have not changed.
If it happens again, try this:
Bring a screw driver with and open the cap and rotor, fiddle with the wires going to the coil and ignitor. That seemed to do the trick. (Even though its not the distributor, for some reason it ALWAYS seems to work, weird I know)
