i recently swapped my ek hatch but having trouble starting it...sometimes it turns on and sometimes it doesnt, i can hear the clicking from the relay everytime...last time my car turned on the gas needle wasnt reading the fuel correctly...can it be the main relay?

Is there gas in the tank?

When you turn the key to ON(II), does the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds? Does the CEL turn on and then off after 2 seconds?

Do you have spark at the plugs?

Is the G101 ground on the thermostat housing clean and tight?

yes theres gas, yes i have spark, grounds seems to be tight, yeah the fuel pump sounds like it turns on, last thing i remember the car turned off when idling yesterday and never started again

Of course the tests I mentioned only yield useful information when the engine won't start. If you have both fuel and spark, then check the mechanical timing and compression test the cylinders.

Any CEL codes?

well heres what happened, after i checked my ecu trying to start the car like 2 hours last night, i gave up and took the bus home (wilshire and western to norwalk at 1:20 am this morning) i came back the later this morning and it seemed that the ground was a little lose,but loose nonetheless and one of the plugs on the ecus wasnt fully clicked in its place!...wowzers i was freezing my marbles in the cold this morning because of a 10 inch bolt was 2 turns too loose...life isnt fair
